Cleaning Care Instructions

The bandage that you have been applied with is called RECOVERY Derm Shield.

This bandage is a breathable bandage. The bandage time is to stay on for at no longer than 5 days.

The bandage is waterproof as far as showers or rain may be but is not protectable with submerging underwater or in baths. Some people may be allergic to adhesives, if you notice an allergic reaction or a lot of redness and pain after the first day or too please notify me as i will tell you to take the bandage off and go another cleaning route.

Day 1: You will notice plasma and light build up of ink under the bandage. This is normal so please just leave it be.

Day 2: You will see the majority of plasma and ink build up. This is the stage before it starts to dry down.

Day 3 & 4: The plasma of the tattoo will have been dried down and feels slightly gritty, this is normal as well. If you need to hydrate the bandage you just wet a paper towel and let it press against it for a little while.

Day 5: Removal of the bandage. When removing, use warm water. You can use some soap if that helps. Do not pull upwards as that can be abrasive to the tattoo. As show in the last image, pull downward in the angle you are pulling from. this way it lifts lightly and less irritable to the tattoo. The bandage may be a bit brittle so it may come off in pieces but do not worry it will not harm the tattoo. Once the bandage is fully off then use clean hands and a non scented soap and warm water to wash it dry (no nails, loofahs, or wash cloths. After the tattoo is clean and dry then you can apply non scented lotion such as Aveno or Lubriderm.
